Privacy Policy

Last updated October 2026

Debt Planner is a personal cash-flow tool. This policy explains what the app stores, why, and what you control.

What we store

Your account email and sign-in details; the financial information you enter or import (accounts, transactions, debts, fixed costs, budgets, levers and settings); and, if you connect your banks, the SimpleFIN access credential described below. Everything is stored per user in the app's database and is visible only to the account that created it.

Bank connections

Bank syncing is optional and uses SimpleFIN Bridge, a third-party service you sign up for separately. You connect your banks at SimpleFIN and give Debt Planner a one-time setup token. The app exchanges that token for an access credential, stores it encrypted at rest on the server side, and never shows it in the browser. The credential is used only to download your transactions and balances. Disconnecting on the Accounts page deletes it. SimpleFIN's own privacy policy governs what SimpleFIN stores.

What we do not do

We do not sell your data, share it with advertisers, or use it for anything other than showing you your own numbers. The app does not initiate payments, move money, or store bank passwords.

Deleting your account and data

You can delete your account at any time from inside the app: open the menu โ†’ My Account โ†’ "Delete my account". This permanently removes every record you own, including any bank credential, and removes your sign-in account itself. It cannot be undone. Your data is removed from the app immediately and purged from the platform's recovery storage within 30 days.

Hosting

Debt Planner is built and hosted on the Base44 platform; their infrastructure processes data on our behalf under their security and privacy commitments.
